Carlon E945J PVC Electrical Conduit Expansion Coupling, 2-In., Gray

The Carlon E945J is a 2-piece PVC expansion coupling designed to connect electrical conduit sections while compensating for length changes due to temperature variations. This coupling is used in exposed conduit runs where thermal movement must be accommodated to maintain system stability.

Electrical conduit systems experience dimensional changes as temperatures fluctuate. An expansion coupling allows controlled adjustment of conduit length while maintaining a secure connection between sections, preventing the stress and potential damage that rigid fittings alone cannot absorb.

Features and Benefits

• Two-Piece Design: The 2-piece construction allows the coupling to compress and extend, accommodating up to 6 inches of total length change while keeping conduit sections firmly connected.
• Temperature Compensation: Designed to compensate for length changes due to temperature variations in exposed conduit runs.
• Schedule 40 and 80 Compatible: Works with both Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC conduit, making it versatile for a wide range of electrical installations and code requirements.
• U.S. Manufactured: Manufactured in the United States.
• UL Listed: Certified to UL standards.
