Milwaukee 48-89-2717 Thunderbolt Drill Bit, 11/64 In., Black Oxide

The Milwaukee 48-89-2717 Thunderbolt drill bit is a black oxide jobber-length bit engineered for extreme durability and long-lasting performance in demanding drilling applications. Whether you're drilling through metal, wood, or PVC, this 11/64-inch diameter bit combines professional-grade construction with features that reduce effort and deliver precision results. It's an essential tool for contractors, construction professionals, and serious DIY enthusiasts who need reliable performance across a variety of materials.

This drill bit solves common problems that plague standard bits: premature breakage from side-load stress, chip buildup that reduces cooling and efficiency, and wandering starts that produce inaccurate holes. The Thunderbolt design addresses each of these issues, making it especially effective for portable drill work and on-site projects where durability and ease of use matter most.

Features and Benefits

• Thicker Core Design: The Thunderbolt web features a thicker core than standard drill bits, providing ultimate strength and protection against side-load breakage during demanding jobs.
• Parabolic Flute Form: The specially designed flute clears chips and debris fast to keep the bit cool during operation.
• 135-Degree Split Point Tip: The precision-ground tip prevents walking and delivers fast, accurate hole starts in curved surfaces and flat stock alike.
• Versatile Material Compatibility: Effective for drilling metal, wood, and PVC with minimal effort, making it a true multi-purpose bit for mixed-material projects.
• Portable Drill Optimized: Compact jobber length design pairs perfectly with cordless and corded portable drills for field work and on-the-go applications.
